What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash Extensions are a totally new way to extend the length and thickness of your eyelashes. They are applied on a hair-by-hair basis to your own lashes for a totally natural look.

How long do they last?

When properly applied Lashes can last for weeks and indefinitely with a regular maintenance programme. Properly applied lashes will last for the length of the natural growth cycle of each eyelash hair. An infill is recommended every 2-4 weeks.

Are eyelash extensions safe?

Yes, they are completely safe when the application is undertaken by a trained professional. A medical grade adhesive is used. The bonding is extremely strong but does not touch the skin. The eyes are closed throughout the whole procedure making this a relaxing treatment.

My eyelashes are naturally fair. Will they need to be tinted?

The eyelash extensions are black so fair lashes will need to be tinted. This must be done at least 48 hours before your eyelash extensions are applied.

Do I have to get a full set of eyelash extensions?

No, half sets are available. A half set is done with lashes being scattered along the entire upper lash line from the inner eye to the outer edge. Half sets are suited to people who have naturally dark lashes, they are not suitable for fair lashed people or ladies who do not have many lashes.

How do I care for my Lash Extensions?

Care must be taken not to rub eyes, or scratch. Also, any creams, eye makeup removers, lotions, or cleansers containing glycols and carbonates can loosen the bond of Lash Extensions. Care must be taken to apply eye cream sparingly with avoidance of the lash line area.

Can I add mascara to Lash Extensions?

Water soluble mascara can be worn; however constant use of mascara may shorten the life-span of your lashes. WATERPROOF MASCARA IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE AS IT WILL DISSOLVE THE BOND WITH THE LASHES.

Preparing for your appointment

• Please arrive for free from eye make up.
• DO NOT wear contact lenses. Wear your glasses.
• Please inform your therapist of any known eye conditions during your consultation. The treatment may not be suitable if infections or other conditions are present.
• Please inform your therapist of any other conditions like claustrophobia, back or neck problems or any other symptoms that could make your treatment uncomfortable.

Caring for your lashes

• DO NOT get your lashes wet for at least 24 hours.
• Avoid touching your lashes or rubbing your eyes.
• Never pick or pull your lashes.
• Be gentle while cleaning the eye area.
• DO NOT use oil based eye make up remover or waterproof mascara.
• If you feel the need for mascara only apply to the tips of the lashes, never at the base.
• DO NOT use any eye lash curlers as these will damage you lashes.
• Avoid visiting a sauna, steam room and swimming for at least 48 hours.
